Golf events bring a very particular set of challenges. Vast open spaces populated by a large number of people, all of whom consume food and drinks over an extended period every day.
With global television coverage, it is essential to keep the course free of litter, even in the windiest weather. It is also critical to plan where rubbish bins are placed throughout the venue, and that they are emptied often enough to maintain perfect playing conditions.
However, we don’t simply look after the on-course facilities: we also provide full cleaning and waste management services for the corporate hospitality areas, officials areas, volunteer areas, kitchens, public catering facilities, and toilets.
Our pedigree in golf is unquestionable; we have worked at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Aberdeen 2014, Gullane 2015, Castle Stuart 2016, Dundonald Links 2017. We were also privileged to be the cleaning and waste management provider for the most environmentally friendly Ryder Cup matches every staged when the competition was played at Gleneagles in 2014.
In 2017 we provided our full range of services at the British Masters hosted at Close House in Newcastle Upon Tyne and we were delighted to also work with the European Tour at Aberdeen Asset Scottish Ladies Open (2017 and 2018) and the Scottish Seniors Open (2017 & 2018).
More recently, we were delighted to be working at Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club at the Ricoh Women’s Open Championship when British winner, Georgia Hall, lifted the trophy.
Finally, our 2018 year will be rounded off with a return to the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles when we provide facilities management, cleaning and waste management services at the European Golf Team Championships in August.
